Happy Mothers Day

I will not pass this opportunity to pay homage to my mother and my mother-in-law. Both were very classy ladies and I miss them dearly. Wish they were around so they would have played
an active role in our and our children lives. We have been forever enriched because of them. I plan to devote separate blogs for them in the future. For now we will carry on.

After listening to Narad Muni's description of Uma's future husband, both Himvant and Maina
(her parents) were in tears. They could not imagine how cruel Uma's fate could be. His words for sure will come true. But even though Uma was little she was happy and she kept these words in her heart. She could feel her love grow for Shiva, but she knew that it was going to be tough to get him. Thinking that this was not the right time for anything she promptly went and sat in her mother's lap.

Now the father worriedly asked the Muni what they should do and Narad said that whatever God has written for her future will come to pass, nobody can stop that, but maybe there is a way out if things get favourable. All these features that I have described that Uma's future husband will have, are attributes of Shivji too. So if she gets married to Shiva all those flaws will turn into good. Just like Vishnu makes his bed in the ocean on the Shesh nag (serpent) no body blames him. Also no matter if the water of the Ganga, the holy river gets polluted it is still called pure. The sun, the Ganga or anything that is powerful and great cannot get flawed.
Shivji is God and is all powerful. If this marriage were to happen it should be good. Only thing is that it is very difficult to woo him but with tup (penence) he can be easily pleased.

Narad muni told Himvant that if your daughter does tup then Tripurari Shivji can even turn the inevitable. He said that there are a lot of eligible bachelors in this world but none as suitable as Shiva for your daughter. Shivji is very merciful and a giver of boons to the downtrodden. Without praying to him, no matter what one does one will not be successful.

Naradji then blessed the little girl Uma and told the father not to worry everything will be good.

A devotee of Shiva will always have RAM RAJYA. JAI HO!
