Mother's Advice To Her Daughter

Before Parvati left with her husband, Maina sat her down on her lap and give her some tips on Hindu Dharma for women. She told Parvati to always love her husband, who was first and foremost her Devta/God. She had tears in her eyes as she explained to her daughter the dharma at that time, that she became very emotional and kept hugging and kissing her. She knew that it was not right for her to ask her to be dependent on her husband. But that was the age they were living in, and she wondered why God had made women in the first place. No body could really be happy when they lived in subjugation. But that was not the time for her to be sad and thoughtful, so she curbed her emotions and prepared for Parvati to leave with Shiva.

All the ladies blessed the new bride, then Parvati and Shiva along with Himvant left for Mount Kailash, his abode. After assuring his father-in-law that Parvati would not lack for anything, Shiva convinced Himvant to go home.

Shankar and Parvati then, started living the good life on the mountain. The attendants took care of them, and everyday the couple would go for sightseeing on the other mountains. They enjoyed all the luxuries of wedded bliss.Time passed along, and soon a son was born to them who had six heads and his name was Swami Kartik. When he grow up, he went to war and killed the demon Tarakasur. The Vedas, and Puranas have detailed this story for everybody to know.

TD says that whoever sings and tells the story of Shiva and Parvati's wedding will always find
joy in charity work and happy occasions.

It is said that the significance of the story of Shiva is as deep as the ocean. Even the Vedas have not found the true depth, so forget about ordinary people, like me. So in Ram Rajya be joyous and happy in every occasion and most of all be independent!. JAI HO!!
