Shiva Wants Ram's Darshan

Yagyavalk Muni starts narrating that same story that Shiva told Parvati. This is how and when the story was told:

Aik Baar Treta Yug Maahin
Shambhu Gaye Kumbhuj Rishi Paheen

Once upon a time in Treta yug Shiva along with his wife Parvati, visited Kumbhuj Rishi at his Ashram. He welcomed them with open arms and then respectfully sang the Ram Katha (story) to him. Shiva was pleased with his Bhakti (devotion) towards Ram so he gave him some pointers to work on. After a few days of discussion about Ram, Shiva along with Parvati returned to his abode on Mount Kailash.
This is about the same time that Sri Hari (Vishnu) had taken an Avatar ( human form) in the house of Dhashrath. That Supreme Lord was now roaming the Dandak woods after giving up his throne because his father had given a boon to one of his wives. We will discuss all this later on as the story progresses.
Shiva has not seen his Lord Ram in a long time so he is trying to find a way to have Darshan (meet or see) him. But he knows that Ram has taken this avatar secretly and even Parvati does not know about it. So he is in a dilemma as to how to go and see Ram.
Ravan (the king of Rakshas (demons) and of Sri Lanka ) had received a boon from Bramha (the creator) that only a human being could kill him. Ram did not want Bramha's word to go in vain. So when Shiva sees Ram in the woods he wants to go and see him otherwise the opportunity will pass, but no scheme seemed to be working.
While Shiva was worrying Ravan took Mareech (a bird, we will talk about later) and with his yogic powers transformed him into a deer.
This is how the stupid Ravan, kidnapped Sita from their Ashram (hut) not realizing the power of her husband Ram. When Ram and his brother returned to the Ashram, they did not find Sita
and that is why they were in tears when they went searching for her in the woods.
Ram Rajya is all about being good so keep on doing good. JAI HO!
