Parvati kept on pleading with Shiva and begged him to be kind and tell her the crux of the Vedas. She told him that maybe the women were not supposed to know everything, but she argued that when the student was willing and eager then the Guru or learned men did not hold anything back and revealed everything. So she urged him once again not to be angry and first explain to her the reason how Nirgun Bramh turned into Sagun Bramh. Then she wanted to hear how the avatar of Ram took place, what happened in his childhood, then his wedding to Sita, how he was banished and his stay in the woods, his battle with Ravana, how he returned to Ayodhya, the Ram Rajya and how he finally returned to his home in Baikunth or heaven. Parvati went on to ask Shiva to tell her about devotion, knowledge , sciences, detachment , the bliss that ascetics always talked about. She wanted Shiva to relate to her things that she had forgotten to ask, to please leave nothing out. She was ready to hear the great epic of Ram.
Shivji loved the fact that Parvati wanted to hear the mysteries of Rama. Suddenly all the stories of Ram became very vivid to him. Tears started flowing down his cheeks, his body became charged and the image of Ram came in his heart. Elation set in every cell of his body. For two seconds he was one with his God then, he pulled his mind back to reality. He was then ready to talk about the life and times of Ram. Jai HO!
