Narad went on to explain about Parvati's previous birth in which she was Sati the daughter of Daksha. He told them how Shiva was her husband then too, and how because she tested Ram in the disguise of Sita, Shiva had to give her up. Parvati was very humiliated at this and visited her father's yagya (religious ritual by fire) uninvited, to ease her pain. There she could not bear to see her father's disrespect for her husband so she gave up her life by jumping in the holy fire. That Sati, took rebirth as Parvati who was always a part of Shiva.
Suni Narad Kay Vachan Tab Sub Kar Mita Vishaad
Chan Mahu Vyapehun Sakal Par Ghar Ghar Yeh Samvaad
After listening to what Narad Muni had to say their was no doubt left, and everybody was convinced that this marriage had to take place. Finally Maina could put her mind at ease and enjoy the happy event. The mood turned very festive in the town and everybody started celebrating. Chefs started cooking elaborate feasts and when the Baraat sat down to eat the women started singing and teasing them as is customary in a wedding. The joy that was experienced at this time was indescribable.
At that time true Ram Rajya was being experienced. We are supposed to seize the moment and revel in its joy and happiness, that is what Shiva and Parvati are telling us. JAI HO!
